Gulzare Habib — where it all began, 2013
“What began as a small room and a handful of worshippers has grown into the spiritual home of an entire community. We have never forgotten where we came from — and we never will.”

Serving Crawley's Muslim Community
Gulzare Habib has served the Muslim community of Crawley since 2013. What began as a modest space for prayer has grown into the spiritual home of thousands of families across West Sussex. We have educated children, married couples, prayed over the departed, and welcomed converts. Now, after years of service in a building that was never built to be a mosque, we are ready to build something that truly reflects the beauty of our faith and the ambition of our community.
Founded
Gulzare Habib is established to serve the growing Muslim community of Crawley. Prayer begins in a modest, repurposed space — a community’s first act of faith.
Growth
The congregation swells. Friday prayers overflow. Quran classes for children begin. The seeds of an educational tradition are planted.
Community Expansion
A full programme of community services emerges — welfare support, interfaith dialogue, youth work, and marriage ceremonies. The mosque becomes the heart of Muslim life in West Sussex.
A Vision Takes Shape
Growing demand and a changing Crawley lead community leaders to begin planning a purpose-built facility worthy of the community’s ambitions.
Build Appeal Launched
The £2,000,000 capital campaign launches. Planning secured. Construction imminent. A dream becomes a blueprint.
